The Young Apprentice hit our screens this week and is sure to make the TV news, with 12 young entrepreneurs aged 16 and 17, battling it out to become Lord Sugar’s apprentice and win £25,000 in order to begin their career in the business industry. The first show saw the two teams (split into boys and girls) make their own ice cream, before setting up a stall and trying to sell as much of it as possible. As usual there were many ridiculous ideas and comments, such as Harry M claiming he was “a ball of enthusiasm ready to explode”. In the end it was the girls’ team who triumphed and after a considerable time of arguing in the board room, young Mohamed was the unlucky person who Lord Sugar fired.

In the show Boardwalk Empire the character Richard Harrow has been an interesting one to say the least. For a while I am sure we were all curious how disfigured his face was, behind the pale mask he wore on half his face. When we do get to see his face however I think satisfaction is the last thing to overcome anyone. Up to this point he has been seen as the Quasimodo of his time, someone who seemed vulnerable enough with the scars to be treated with indifference. However apparently the writers would like to give Harrow a personal life beyond the fans perception of the character. That is why I believe recently we see him getting into art, and actually bonding with other people. Of all the characters on the show Harrow is definitely the most interesting to watch develop.
